Christian Reuss Joins AQUATY as Senior Advisor

Münster, July 23, 2025 – Private market specialist AQUATY has appointed Christian Reuss as Senior Advisor. The seasoned executive held various management roles at SIX Group for over 15 years, most recently serving as CEO of SIX Swiss Exchange. In this role, he played a key role in strengthening the competitiveness and driving the digital transformation of the Swiss financial market. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Goldman Sachs, focusing on structured financial products and retail distribution.
In his new role, Reuss will support AQUATY's further development of its digital investment platform for private markets. Drawing on his in-depth knowledge of capitalmarkets, regulation and product structuring, he will contribute to the further development of AQUATY's ‘Securitisation as a Service’ approach, setting new standards for digital investment solutions.
“I firmly believe that digital securities will fundamentally change the way we invest in private markets. They make it possible to manage private assets with the same structure and efficiency as publicly traded securities – based on a clear, standardized framework that promotes scalability and broader investor access. AQUATY’s technology platform brings the standards long established in public markets to the private market space,” says Christian Reuss. “I’m very much looking forward to supporting the team on this journey.”
Alexander Grimm, Co-founder of AQUATY, says, “Christian Reuss is well known in the financial industry as an absolute expert in capital markets, securities trading and new trading platforms. With his experience, he will help us tailor our product to the needs of institutional clients, such as asset and wealth managers, and build a bridge to the established financial system. Together, we want to make private capital markets as efficient and digital as equities or bonds.”
AQUATY's platform enables individuals or institutions with access to private market assets to easily make these assets investable and issue them to the broader capital market. The Securitisation Gateway converts various asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate and art, into regulated, tradable ISIN securities.
The platform also supports various investment types, facilitates automated securities processes, and ensures secure, compliant transactions and integration of assets into established distribution channels, such as asset managers and private banks. AQUATY is thus making an important contribution to the digitalisation and opening up of private capital markets.
